outpatient settings such as physicians' offices, group practices, or
clinics; also, in some outpatient surgery centers.
What
You'd Do:

Assist
with exams, procedures, and treatments. |

Collect
and process specimens. |
 |
Perform
routine diagnostic tests. |
 |
Prepare
and administer medications. |
 |
Schedule,
coordinate, and monitor patient appointments. |
 |
Process
and manage insurance claims, receivables and payables. |
 |
Transcribe
physician's notes into permanent chart documentation. |
 |
Prepare
and maintain patients' medical records. |
 |
Instruct
patients in health-related issues. |

standards in education, this means that the programs prepare the students to
